Travel Assistance Benefit
Travel Insurance enhances the coverage for emergency out-of-province treatment. The employee and his/her spouse and children are eligible provided they are insured under the employer's Extended Health Benefits plan and are covered by a Government Health Insurance Plan. In addition to 24-hour telephone assistance to local appropriate medical care, the benefit provides such services as emergency transportation, patient monitoring, return of an unattended minor, visit of family member, and return of remains.
